
Mineral Springs Park is one of two parks in Emlenton and features one of the oldest oil wells in the world, which continues to produce crude oil at its original depth. Crawford #3 was drilled in 1867 and is located within the park. This park also has picnic groves, fishing, and trail access along the creek.

Hughes Park entrance can be found on College Street, with the park located below the Community Basketball and Tennis Courts. It is a great place for a summer picnic or a family gathering.

Ballpark and Courts: At the top of the hill, along Prospect Street, you’ll find the borough park. It includes the Little League ball field, a basketball court, and tennis courts.

The Allegheny River Trail Emlenton Trailhead can be found in the western end of town, just past the post office. The trail offers a scenic ride along the beautiful Allegheny River with numerous places to stop and enjoy the view at a picnic table or bench. 6 miles north of Emlenton, you’ll find the first of two railroad tunnels, the Rockland Station Tunnel. A short hike from the bike trail is a beautiful waterfall and one of the area’s historic iron furnaces. Visit atva-trails.org for more information on the Allegheny River Trail.

The Allegheny River, as well as the many local creeks and streams, is located right in our backyard. They offer endless possibilities for fun. You can fish for trout, bass, walleye, and other native species or enjoy other water activities like canoeing or kayaking. Public access to the Allegheny River can be found under the Main Street bridge.

Kahle Lake is located just 5 miles north of Emlenton. This lake also offers excellent fishing opportunities all year round. Come out during the summer and fish from your electric-powered or motorless boat, or fish right from shore. Kahle Lake offers largemouth bass, walleye, perch, muskie, and more! Emlenton sits under the shadow of the I80 bridge. This is the tallest bridge (287 ft.) east of the Mississippi River on the I80 corridor. It is between the two Emlenton exits, 42 and 45. Looking up or down, the bridge is quite the view.

The Pumping Jack Museum is temporarily closed due to restructuring.

The Emlenton Crawford Center is where Emlenton conducts business. This former school has been converted into a business center, and it now houses the Borough offices, Police, Boys and Girls Club Along the Allegheny, Electrotechs 4h, and some community businesses (Amy’s Closet, Allegheny Pines Pottery, Community Christian Daycare, Yogo with Sara, Hair Art Salon by Lex, Chevelle’s Mudpuppies Pet Salon, Sandra Jackson Photography, Miss Kendall’s School of Dance).
The Pumping Jack Museum (temporarily closed) and Emlenton Visitor Orientation Center are at this site. This building, located at 511 Hill Street, can be seen from almost every vantage point in Emlenton.

Otto’s Tavern is a family owned bar/grille which has been in business since 1968, and is located in the oldest building in Emlenton.
