"Emlenton's Got Talent" Carrie Armagost 724-867-0929 Friday, July 8, 2011 7:00PM Crawford Center - Auditorium Emlenton area youth, ages 18 and under, will be participating in our annual “Emlenton’s Got Talent” show on Friday, July 8^th at 7:00 p.m. Call to register by July 1st. The entrants must have an Emlenton address.The show will be held in the Emlenton Crawford Center Auditorium. Children will be showcasing their talents of singing, dancing, gymnastics, and more! We will have 2 or 3 rehearsels before the show at the Crawford Center. There will be an admission fee to the show. Come enjoy an evening of fabulous entertainment! Contact Tracy Q. 724-867-0123 Frog Jumping Contest Sponsored by Sam Orton Kristie & Mike 724-867-5773 Saturday on Main Street & 6th Street Intersection Rules Must be under the age of 14 to enter. You must have your own frog or share with a friend. Frogs not provided. Once frog is placed on pad you may not touch it again until your jump is over. Distance will be assessed in 3 consecutive jumps or steps in any combination. You will have one minute (60 seconds) to make your frog jump. If your frog doesn't complete the jump you will be given a second chance, after all contestants have been given their turn. Age groups will be 7 & under and 8 - 14 Contestants 7 & under may have assistance 'placing the frog on mat' ONLY. Please stay behind the circle drawn on ground. This will allow contest personnel to move freely to catch frogs. Please stay until the end of the contest due to your childs' possibility of qualifying for one of the alternative prize categories. Remember this contest is for the children, and a good experience will be had by all. Prizes 1-3 longest jumps, Most Unique, Smallest, Largest.

Softball Tournament Jason 724-712-6406 ANNUAL EMLENTON SUMMER FESTIVAL SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT JULY 9, 2011 8:00 A.M. - ????? The Emlenton Summer Festival will once again hold it’s annual Softball Tournament on Saturday, July 9th, 2010. This is a single-pitch, double-elimination tournament. Cost is $125 per team. Prize money is as follows: 1^st Place Team - $250 2^nd Place Team - $175 3^rd Place Team - $125 Location: Farmers National Bank Field Prospect Street, Emlenton (near Emlenton Pool and Park) Registration deadline is July 2, 2011. Kid's Bike Race Sponsored by The Hardwood Mall Pam 814-498-2726 To participate you must wear a helmet. Registration will be at the farmers bank drive through parking lot starting at 11:15am. Age Groups: 4 and 5 years old 6 and 7 years old 8 and 9 years old 10 and 11 years old Prizes will be given to 1^st and 2^nd place finishers in each age group. Every child will receive a participation prize.		Kid's Mini-Marathon Sponsored by The Plaza Restaurant Mary 724-867-8786 The Mini-Marathon is for kids ages 7 - 12. Children 7-9 will compete in a 1/4 mile run. 10-12 year olds will run a 1/2 mile race. The race will take place on the bike trail at 9:00am on Saturday. Medals will be given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, place in each age group. Registration will be at the bike trail entrance from 8:15am until 8:45am.

Entrants must have a Emlenton address. Photos must be post-marked by June 30th. No pictures will be returned. Any pictures without required materials listed or postmarked after the June 30th date will not be entered into the contest. One entry per baby. One boy and one girl will win. Winners will receive a savings bond and a ride in the parade. Jr. Fishing Derby Sponsored by Emlenton Rod & Gun Club Will 724-867-9541 The Fishing Derby is open to any child ages -toddler to age 16. Fishing Starts at 10am at the South Shore of Kahle's Lake. Arrive before 10am to register. The age groups are: Toddlers thru age 7; 8 to 11 yrs.olds; and 12 - 16 yrs. of age. Each child will receive a hotdog, chips and pop for participating. The prizes given in each age group are: The First fish caught, The Most fish caught, and The Biggest fish caught. The derby starts promptly at 10am and ends at Noon.
